Described as star potential with a ferocity that will lead her to great things in her music we have a great interview in store for you today as well as a cover video premiere of "American Honey". Check it out and get to know country newcomer Jolivi! NN: Tell us about JoLivi, who are you, where are you from, and how did you get into music? Jolivi: I am born and raised on the island of O'ahu and music was always in the family! My grandfather sang Hawaiian music and played pretty much every instrument. I started singing at a very young age and was very involved in performing arts and musical theater. NN: You recently released “Take A Shot” on July 17th, tell us about this song. What does it mean to you? Tell us how you knew this was the song you wanted to release? Jolivi: “Take A Shot” is a play on words... The lyrics describe the first time you meet someone and that instant connection, and then the play on of taking a shot of whiskey and taking on shot on me. I wanted to do a fun and upbeat summer song about just letting go of any inhibitions and taking chances. NN: What is one personal and one professional bucket list item you hope to cross off in the next few years? Jolivi: Personally - to travel more outside the country…and hike…everywhere!! lol. Professionally it’s always been to either co-write or just sing with James Taylor. NN: If you could do a CMT Crossroads with any artist dead or alive, who would it be? Why? Jolivi: JAMES TAYLOR... and/or Bonnie Raitt…and Susan Tedeschi! James Taylor has been such a huge influence in my life in all ways.. I grew up listening to him.. and as a kid I would go through his journeys with his lyrics. His voice is so captivating its almost indescribable. NN: What are some of your memories from the road? Coolest thing that has ever happened? Jolivi: I've had the pleasure of opening for many amazing artists…Andy Grammar, Gavin DeGraw, and American Authors... but my favorite was opening for Switchfoot at a breast cancer awareness event. I've always been a fan of their music since young days and they were so sweet and humble and they rocked that stage!! NN: Where do you hope to see your music career in five years? Jolivi: TOURING TOURING TOURING!! I want to constantly be singing and influencing whoever I can with my music! NN: What are three songs you are currently listening to? Jolivi: Country Road - James Taylor Glorious - Macklemore Supercut- Lorde NN: What are three things you can’t leave for the road without? Jolivi: Hair detangle (obsessed), Eyeliner, Coconut oil and toothbrush NN: What does a typical day on the road look like for you? Favorite tour snack? Jolivi: Usually my manager likes to make sure we get more done in a day so we will have three to four meetings. Then a writing session and then a dinner meeting. I do a lot of stuff for socials so I'm on the computer a lot. Favorite snack is by far carrots and hummus…all day!!! NN: Anything else you want me to share with my readers? What can fans do to help? Jolivi: Listen to the music... share it… love it if you love it.!! Blast it in your car…sing it with your friends!!!!.. xo We also have a premier of her covering "American Honey"! So exciting! Check it out and let us know what you think! Follow Jolivi on socials:

Jolivi- thanks so much for taking the time to answer our questions we really appreciate it! If you follow Lindsay Ell or Bobby Bones you know that this week has been filled with drama surrounding their personal lives! I’m going to go ahead and stick my neck on the line and say that I agree with Lindsay and Bobby, your personal life should not determine how far you get to go in your career! With all this negative buzz and few women being played on country radio Bobby decided that he was going to encourage everyone to support females in country music! So today, pick a female artist, one that you love, or a new one, and download an album you don’t have in order to support them and their careers! Here is a list of some of our favorites if you need a little help!
