“Country is where the heart is, but country is more than music, and photography has captured it” -Kenny Rogers This movie takes you through the history of country music with the use of photography. With appearances from people like Merle Haggard, Keith Urban, The Band Perry, and more Country: Portraits of an American Sound takes you on a journey through time. If you want a glimpse of photography through the years, as well as footage from unforgettable moments with stars like Garth Brooks, and Lee Ann Womack, then this is the video for you! The film features photographs, and history of performances from the Grand Ole Opry, taken by Les Leverett as well as interviews and comments from other stars. This video does a phenomenal job of talking about the importance of photography, to freeze a moment and preserve history, as well as sharing the stories behind the photographs and the thoughts behind the photographer at the time. I found this video to be very interesting and enlightening because it allowed me to take a glimpse into history and learn more about my beloved country music genre and artists. This film is definitely one that I would recommend! The video is now available for purchase on iTunes. You can do so here. Disclaimer: I received a screeners link from Big Time PR & Marketing to watch this film in order for me to write a review. Images received from stills also provided.
Today we're going to share a couple of artists that we think you should really watch in 2017! Clark MansonClark is definitely an artist that you're going to want to watch in 2017. His latest single 3 Wishes was a fun twist on the country summer romance. Clark is an artist that plays a lot of shows throughout the year and one that I highly reccomend buying a ticket and seeing him if you get the chance! Down to earth Ohio native, Clark is always giving everything he has on stage. After the show you. can almost always find him standing near his merch stand where he hangs around, meets and fan that comes over, signs autographs, and takes countless pictures. Clark seems to be very genuine and nice growing his fan base one show and one fan at a time. I see great things happening for Clark this year, including new music which he shares at his shows. You are going to want to check out his songs and we have a few to get you started! Favorite Songs: Hands Up 3 Wishes Track 9 Drew BaldridgeDrew Baldridge is another artist you're going to want to watch in 2017. Drew's music is upbeat and he has some of the most catchy songs you wil ever hear. Drew comes alive when he is on stage dancing, singing, and putting on a show. Not only are Drew's songs catchy, but so is his energy on stage. You will definitely want to catch a Drew show if he comes near you! To start your love with Drew check out his music and prepare to be hooked.

This past Friday I attended an event with Clark Manson, and American Idol contestant Alexis Gomez! The event was in Huber Heights, OH! Both artists were awesome and we will get to that in a few minutes, but I have to start off first with a thought of mine from that night. I felt absolutely terrible for these artists that night. If I were in their position I wouldn't have wanted to get up on stage and perform. This show had maybe 100 people at it.. maybe! This show didn't have very much advertising and the only way I knew about it was because I follow Clark! So Alexis and Clark, thanks for putting on a great show even if you didn't want to! Alexis GomezUp first was Alexis Gomez! Alexis, I don't know where you got your stuff for your stage set-up but the consensus from the girls around the stage was that we need to go shopping with you! Your set-up was awesome! Alexis did a lot of cover songs and three or four originals. Personally, I was super excited about this because this show was my first for Alexis and I didn't know many of her songs! She sang some Miranda, Carrie, and even some Taylor Swift. During her cover of "Red" by Taylor Swift Alexis brought up a little girl to sing with her! She made that girls entire night, and I would even go further to say life! It was awesome! Alexis has a great voice so if you haven't heard her music yet you need to check it out! It was so nice to finally meet you, talk a little bit, and watch you have fun on stage! I can't wait to come to another show! Clark MansonI don't even know where to begin with Clark! I've preached over and over how awesome Clark is and how if you haven't heard of Clark you need to check him out now! There unfortunately not a ton of people at this show and I felt awful for Clark! If I could have convinced a hundred people to get to the show I would have!
Clark sang a ton of his own songs and a few cover songs. He even sang "Hands Up" which he never plays live, and it's my favorite song! Thank you for FINALLY playing that live! This show was really cool to be at! Because the show wasn't so packed, and a lot of the people knew Clark, he shared some stories about how he went about writing songs and the people there! Clark's music is legit! He is on his way to being the next George Strait and if you don't get on board now you are missing out! Clark, every time that I see you, you perform better and better! I can't wait to see you again live! Thanks for putting on an awesome show despite the turnout! Today marks four days until my upcoming event with Clark Manson and Alexis Gomez. I shared in my Music Monday post that you needed to know who Clark was because he was going to be huge and while listening to my Pandora I was reassured that exact reason. Read on to find out more about Clark and why you need to now his name! Check back later this week and I'll be doing the same for Alexis!
You read that title right! Today I am going to be reviewing a License To Boot tank, telling you a little bit about some of their awesome products and then giving away TWO tanks (worth $39)! How cool! Read the post to figure out how to enter!
Today on Music Monday we have two new blogs tagging along! We are going to talk concerts, fashion, new artists, and so much more!
Cole Swindell released a new song yesterday titles You Should Be Here. You should all check it out and buy it on iTunes. Cole, I've seen you many times starting out in bars, watched you first ever arena show with Luke Bryan, and met you twice. I own every song you have ever released and even jam out to the ones that I don't own! Your new song is perfect!! Cole your dad is so proud of you! He is definitely watching over you and guiding you in your musical career! I think we all have someone we are missing who has passed away or someone who isn't there, like friends who are deployed over the holidays, or family that lives states away. You have such a great way of writing music, and not only this song, that relate very well to your listeners. I am so excited to see what 2016 brings for you! Keep being genuine and caring for your fans and you will ALWAYS have a fan in me! |
