With appearances from people like Merle Haggard, Keith Urban, The Band Perry, and more Country: Portraits of an American Sound takes you on a journey through time. If you want a glimpse of photography through the years, as well as footage from unforgettable moments with stars like Garth Brooks, and Lee Ann Womack, then this is the video for you! The film features photographs, and history of performances from the Grand Ole Opry, taken by Les Leverett as well as interviews and comments from other stars. This video does a phenomenal job of talking about the importance of photography, to freeze a moment and preserve history, as well as sharing the stories behind the photographs and the thoughts behind the photographer at the time. I found this video to be very interesting and enlightening because it allowed me to take a glimpse into history and learn more about my beloved country music genre and artists.
