Here recently a huge story in country music has been that of Joey, of Joey and Rory. I have had the honor to see them live at the Grand Ole Opry and their voices just mesh so well. This heartbreaking story of what Joey has been going through has been in my thoughts and I'm sure everyone else's as well.
One thing that I LOVE through all of this is that that have publicly told everyone that this is all in God's hands and that He already knows what is going to happen. They have asked for prayers for Joey and her pain from the tumors but more importantly that God's will be done. They are choosing to live in His glory and enjoy however many days that they have left together as if it is their last instead of dwelling on all of the bad around them. They have the support of their family, friends, and fans and I'm sure that they appreciate any support and prayers that you can spare.
The two pictures at the top are ones that have been posted on their social media sites. The one on the left is Joey holding their youngest daughter while in the hospital. If you don't know the story behind the picture on the right you should. Joey and Rory's support system loaded up on their bus in Nashville and drove to her mom's house to come visit and see her for the day. The picture is of all of their hands on top of Joey's showering her with love, prayers, and support.
My thoughts and prayers are with this family as they battle this difficult journey. They have shown great light in this dreadful time by putting God first and letting God have his will. Please join their family, friends, family, and me in praying that the outcome would be good, a miracle would happen, and that this family can enjoy what life they have left without pain and sorrow.
