Kaylee Rose: My name is Kaylee Rose. I was born in Miami and moved to St. Augustine in middle school. In Miami, I grew up doing cheerleading & hip-hop dancing. When I moved to St. Augustine in middle school I taught myself how to play guitar and that’s when music started for me. I started playing at all of the local bars on a regular basis at age 14. That carried on all throughout high school and college until I decided to make the move to Nashville. Along with singing, I was captain of my high school dance team & class president. It’s funny how balancing all of those things in high school really helped me with my transition to Nashville. NN: You just released a new EP, tell us a little bit about it. Kaylee Rose: I released my first EP this past week and it is available on Spotify and Itunes. It is 4 songs that I feel represent who I am as an artist and songwriter. Produced by Matt McVaney, the songs were all co-written with songwriters that have helped me express my unique style of country and pop. I am so proud of these songs and am so happy they are finally out! NN: What is one thing you hope to cross off of your professional bucket list within the next year? Five years? Kaylee Rose: In my 3 years of living in Nashville I have grown so much not just as a singer but as a songwriter. My goal in the next 5 years would be to play bigger stages and have success as a songwriter. Whether it is someone else cutting and recording my songs or it is myself. NN: You’ve played around 1000 shows since you were 14, what have you learned through playing those shows about yourself as an artist? About your stage presence?
Kaylee Rose: The biggest thing I’ve learned is that performing is not about me but about my crowd. I want to write and play songs that people want to hear because if they’re pumped up and happy with what I’m doing, then so am I. I feed off of it. Whether it’s two or two thousand people in the room, if a song I wrote moved someone in the crowd, my goal is accomplished for that show. I’ve definitely learned the difference between being an entertainer versus being a singer. I am so thankful for all of the shows I’ve played because there are so many little tricks to performing and writing that can only be taught by going out and playing countless shows. NN: What are three things you have to take with you to a show? Kaylee Rose: I don’t have many things I bring to a show. But my friends always laugh because I always bring the most ridiculous water bottles to my shows. I’m always that girl carrying literally a gallon of water. Hydration is so important for singers. If Taco Bell was good for the vocal chords I’d probably bring that too lol. NN: If you could do a collaboration with anyone, who would you choose and why? Kaylee Rose: If I could collaborate with anyone it would probably be Ed Sheeran. He is such an amazing songwriter and singer and has so much swag. I love how he will sing a beautiful folky ballad and then in the next song he will start rapping. Everything about his style is very unpredictable yet authentic, which is inspiring. NN: What is the best advice you have been given about the music industry? Kaylee Rose: The best advice I have ever been given is that this journey is a marathon, not a sprint. It is very rare for things to move quickly in this town, no matter how hard you work. A lot of musicians, including myself, have moved here with thousands of shows and paid dues under their belts. But it’s kind of like clicking a refresh button when you move to Nashville, everyone is back at square one. As frustrating as it gets, the longer I’m here, the more I’m learning how to trust the process and how to patiently work hard. They aren’t kidding when they say it’s a 5 to 10 year town. NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Chart-topping, ACM award-winning artist Justin Moore’s performance in a “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” skit landed an Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics category for “The Ballad of Claus Jorstad (Devil Stool).” The spoof was written by Jimmy Kimmel and Gary Greenberg.

I'm excited for Jimmy and his crew. Hopefully, we can bring it home. They told me this week that they would share it with me, so it would be pretty cool to add an Emmy to the mantle." (Nashville, Tenn. – Aug. 2, 2017) – Emerging country duo, Indigo Summer, is excited to announce the release of their infectious new song, “A1A” to Spotify and Apple Music. The duo, comprised of Bryan Edwards and Hope Nix, co-wrote the song along with Larry McCoy.
The idea for “A1A” was sparked when Edwards and his dad were heading down the famed A1A Boulevard in Florida. “Growing up in Florida, A1A was always an iconic beach stroll, so it’s a beachy-twist to country songs you hear about driving through the country-side making memories,” says Edwards. An official music video for “A1A” will be released on August 4. Leading up to the release of the video, the duo will conduct a Facebook Live through the duo’s official Facebook page on Aug. 2 and 3. As the duo’s name suggests, Indigo Summer’s music is fun and energetic. Their songs are true to their country roots yet they are not scared to push the boundaries of today’s country music. Pushing the confines was exactly what they did with this latest release, “Our goal was to point out that a Florida road-trip, Spring Break, or vacation, can seem like the time of your life with all the fun little beach towns, seaside shacks and flintiness of tan lines and convertibles,” explains Edwards. Enjoy the summer a little longer, listen to Indigo Summer’s “A1A” here. Imagined by Normand Latourelle - one of the co-founders of Cirque du Soleil - the $30 million extravaganza that expands the definition of performance into an epic, yet soulful theatrical experience will open under the gigantic White Big Top August 30, with matinee and evening shows scheduled through September 10. Yesterday, at the show's site, Claudia Huskey(Senior Advisor to the Mayor of Nashville), Robert Swope (District 4 Council Member) and John Adams (Gaylord Opryland VP & Market General Manager)joined Normand Latourelle (Cavalia Founder and Artistic Director) for brief remarks about the excitement of bringing such a unique production to Music City. Huskey, Swope, Adams, and Latourelle, alongside District 15 Council Member Jerry Syracuse, cut the symbolic ribbon heralding the official arrival of the production in Nashville.
While the White Big Top rose to the sky, guests and members of the press toured the impressive site that will soon host the epic experience Odysseo by Cavalia - a breathtaking production featuring more than 100 horses, riders, acrobats, dancers, aerialists and musicians. Standing 125 feet tall and covering a surface area of 58,397 square feet - the size of a football field - Odysseo’s exceptional White Big Top is a mix of art, technology and advanced engineering. In order to break through the limitations of standard big top tents, allow for more flexibility in the performance area, and to give the horses the space they need to express themselves in all their beauty, Normand Latourelle partnered with specialized companies in Europe and Canada to create the high-tech structure. By removing the usual supporting masts from the stage and shifting the weight of the structure from the masts to three arches above the tent, this specially designed White Big Top is the best environment for the horses and acrobats to perform breathtaking numbers and for the creative team to design immense staging. This unprecedented ‘traveling theatre’ is also composed of several exceptional features including its grandiose stage – larger than The Predators ice rink – that enables large-scale, cutting-edge creative performances. Faced by bleachers with 2,074 seats, just like an auditorium setting, the 17,500-square-foot stage requires 10,000 tons of stone, earth and sand to create so that it offers nature on stage, a vast space of freedom where more than 100 two and four-legged stars can display their intimate collaboration. The multi-dimensional and magical world of Odysseo is conjured through images of the most beautiful landscapes from around the world, projected onto an 8,400-square-foot screen, a feast for the eyes with staggering effects created by state-of-the-art scenery. Odysseo’s technical grid, worthy of the largest permanent installations in Las Vegas, New York or London, can support 80 tons of equipment for the stage needs of the show, including a majestic life-sized merry-go-round. During the breathtaking finale, a vertiginous virtual waterfall overhangs a lake made possible by an underground drain system that releases 40,000 gallons of recycled water onto the stage, in which horses, riders and artists join to frolic, leaving behind them the traces of their splashes—and an astonished audience. The White Big Top is just one part of a larger ensemble; the Odysseo village will take shape over the next few weeks and consists of five tents: the White Big Top, the stable tent, the Rendez-Vous VIP tent, the warm-up & artistic tent, and the kitchen tent serving the 200 permanent employees. In total, 110 semi-trailer trucks will be required to transport the world’s largest touring production to Nashville. Odysseo is a veritable revolution in live entertainment that marries the equestrian arts, stage performances, and high-tech theatrical effects in never-before-seen ways.
